Register your interest in the new Ax60+ multi-gas monitor

Analox Sensor Technology have designed a new wall-mountable multi-gas monitor for the hospitality industry called the Ax60+

The Ax60+ multi-gas monitor is based on the popular Ax60 carbon dioxide (CO2) detector, but as well as monitoring CO2, it offers the additional functionality of a modular oxygen (O2) sensor which provides an early warning of both O2 depletion and O2 enrichment.

CO2 is widely used and found in the beverage and hospitality industry to carbonate and deliver drinks and as a by-product of the fermentation process.

It is a colourless, odourless, non-flammable gas, making it hard to detect, and just a couple of breaths of air with elevated CO2 is enough to render a person unconscious.

Monitor nitrogen and carbon dioxide at the same time with the Ax60+

Nitrogen (N2) is also becoming more commonly used in the beverage industry to dispense beer and coffee, as well as preventing oxidation which can affect the taste and quality of the beverage.

N2 is a colourless, odourless inert gas which does not support human breathing, and if it leaks into a confined space it can deplete the level of O2 in the atmosphere.

The Ax60+ has been developed to monitor both CO2 and O2 in the hospitality industry, and allows multiple placement of alarm and sensor units which are connected to a central display unit. The CO2 and O2 sensors are interchangeable and can be fully integrated as part of a multi-point, multi-gas detection and alarm system.

The Ax60+ can have up to four alarms per sensor, to a maximum of eight alarms per system, meaning it is ideal for both small and large organisations.

Each alarm unit has an audible sounder and a high-intensity LED strobe light, and the alarm set-points can be changed by the user.

The CO2 sensor is set by default to trigger a low-level alarm at 1.5% CO2, an evacuation alarm at 3% CO2 and a time-weighted average alarm of 0.5% CO2 measured over eight hours.

The O2 sensor is set by default to trigger low-going alarms at both 19.5% and 18% and a high-going alarm at 23%.

The Ax60+ multi-gas monitor is coming soon. If you would like to know when the Ax60+ is ready to buy, please register your interest.
