JFD Australia is part of JFD, one of the world’s leading subsea operations and manufacturing companies providing complex diving and underwater systems to the commercial and defence industries. They have two offices in Australia and one in Singapore and their Director is Doug Austin, who has been with the company since 1987.
Originally known as Divex Asia Pacific, the company was bought by James Fisher and Sons in 2013 and in 2014 JFD was created through the merger of James Fisher Defence and Divex. In 2016, Lexmar Engineering also became part of JFD, offering specialist saturation diving services to the Asia Pacific market.
JFD recently entered into a joint venture with a Chinese diving equipment manufacturer to form a company called Wuhu Divex Systems Ltd, helping to consolidate their position in China.
JFD sell a wide range of Analox gas monitoring analysers for the commercial diving industry, including the SDA range of monitors and ADM Aspida.
They also sell the Hyper-Gas MKII, a bell monitor which monitors for hydrocarbons, a compound which can have anaesthetic effects in small doses and could prove potentially fatal for divers.
Analox Sensor Technology and JFD Australia have worked together to produce bespoke sets of the SDA analyser for a saturation dive system for the Russian Admiralty.
Peta Swanson, Sales Supervisor for JFD Australia has been working for the company for nearly 11 years. She said “We sell Analox monitors to the commercial diving industry as the products are extremely dependable and the sales team are extremely knowledgeable about the industries we serve. We’re delighted to be in partnership with them.”
Becca Dodds, Regional Channel Account Manager for Asia Pacific said “Analox has had a working relationship with JFD since the early 1980s. JFD are great advocates of the Analox brand and they are a pleasure to work with.”
