MedlabME (Middle East) is an annual event catered to the international medical laboratory industry. The self proclaimed must-see event has been running for 17 years, including some shows Analox have attended before. We did attend this years ‘MedlabME’ which was hosted at the Dubai World Trade Centre on the 4th-7th February.
Two members of our Analox team, Katherine Winter and Matt Lambert, attended the event to discuss the latest trends in the laboratory industry and what we at Analox, offer to keep you and your colleagues safe when using gas within the laboratory. You can read our short guide to gas monitoring in laboratories here.
Attendance at this years MedlabME was outstanding with a turn out of up to 50 000 visitors and more than 500 companies from all over the world. The agenda for the event also did not disappoint, as it was filled with technical conferences, innovation, meeting, and hands on learning.
Katherine and Matt were in Za’abeel Hall 2 on stand number Z2.L55 showcasing our latest addition to Analox’s multi-gas monitor, Ax60+ the Data Output Module, which allows connection to Building Management Systems communicating gas levels and alarm states. During the show, the team provided attendees with engaging demonstrations of our fixed and portable CO2 and O2 depletion monitors.
Katherine said, “We had some really good conversations with people about their gas detection needs for the laboratory industry. We gained a lot of feedback on what people liked about our units and where they’d like to see in the future moving forward in terms of improvements and add-ons.
It was a well attended show and we’d definitely look at returning next year.”
Matt also commented, “I really enjoyed exhibiting at this years Medlab. We met with some key potential partners and had some really interesting conversations about different gases being used in laboratory processes
“It was great to discuss safety within the laboratory, particularly gas safety and educate people about the importance of installing gas detection systems in this industry.
“The exhibition was also a great opportunity for us to enhance our knowledge within the laboratory sector.
“The whole event seemed like it was a success overall and we’re looking forward to potentially exhibiting fat future Medlab events.”
