As has been widely reported Coronavirus is an international concern and is currently classified by the World Health Organization as a ‘Global Health Emergency’
Our immediate thoughts and sympathies are of course with the many people who have died or have been directly impacted by this deadly disease. We hope that the situation starts to improve soon and life can get back to normal for everyone affected and the wider global community.
Analox would also like to take the opportunity to reassure our employees, customers, suppliers and other stakeholders that we are carefully monitoring the situation to ensure that insofar as possible our activities are unaffected by the current issues.
Regarding International travel, Analox will be following the Foreign and Commonwealth Office Guidelines which currently advise against all travel to the Hubei province and all but essential travel to the rest of mainland China.
From a manufacturing perspective, we have reviewed our supply chain and can confirm that Analox does not have any manufacturing operations in China. The small number of instrument components purchased directly from China have been reviewed and the supply chain is secure.
Some electronic components on our printed circuit board assemblies are of Chinese origin but we do not anticipate that this will cause any health risk through contamination or any supply issues due to interruption of supplies. Nonetheless, we are actively working with our suppliers to mitigate even the smallest of theoretical risks by sourcing components from alternative locations.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely and of course our priority will be the health and safety of all our stakeholders. We will provide an update should any new development necessitate this but feel free to contact Analox if you require any further information.
