Oxygen (O2)

Oxygen (O2) is commonly included in the collection of gases known as "air gas".

Oxygen levels can be dangerous if they are too low or too high.

Inert gases including nitrogen, helium and argon can deplete oxygen in the atmosphere, which could lead to a situation where individuals are at risk of asphyxiation which can cause serious injury or even death. Oxygen-enriched air also needs to be monitored for safety reasons.
